Position: Technical Director / Sound Engineer

Hometown: Marriottsville, MD

Voice Part: Alto II, Alto I, Mezzo, Soprano II

Musical Experience: In grade school, Wendy was singing and playing violin and piano.  She toured Great Britain with the Maryland Youth Symphony Orchestra, played string bass in her high school concert band and played piano in the award-winning Glenelg High School Jazz Ensemble.  When Wendy became a high school senior, she finally decided to join the choir.  After auditioning, she was chosen to join the Madrigals and was selected to be the bass in the elite Female Barbershop Quartet.
Wendy attended Virginia Tech and was selected as a freshman to join the popular New Virginians.  She was also selected to appear as a guest vocalist with the Virginia Tech Jazz Orchestra.  Wendy has always been passionate about musical theatre and has performed in dozens of productions.  She also toured with Theatre IV for a while, and then joined The Music Theatre of Williamsburg as one of their five resident performers.  Wendy taught high school musical theatre for six years and has directed numerous musicals.  Now that she is a Mom, she enjoys singing with her toddler daughter, Vivian, and giving private voice lessons out of her home.

Fun Fact: When Wendy worked at the Walt Disney World Company in Orlando, she was mistaken more than once for the girl who portrayed Belle in the parks.  Talk about pouring salt into a wound!  Belle is her favorite Disney princess!  However, Wendy could never actually represent Belle as she is two inches too tall per their character standards!  And she is only 5’5”!
